Objective

An ‘A’ Level qualifier is expected to be key member of a software development team with all round capabilities to manage and guide a software project. In order to develop these capabilities the ‘A’ level course has been so designed that a student acquires an in-depth knowledge of the key areas like the computer software, office automation products ,knowledge of developing a business system module using database packages, problem solving skills using programming languages, computer
architecture, software development life cycle, data-structure, database management system, operating system, practical exposure to UNIX/LINUX and communication principles and computer networking, object oriented programming using C++/ Java, and multimedia application

Examination

Pass percentage


To qualify for a pass in a module, a candidate must have obtained at least 50% in

each theory and practical examination. The marks will be translated into grades,

while communicating results to the candidates. The gradation structure is as below:-

55%-64%                     C
65%-74%                      B
75%-84%                     A

PRACTICAL EXAMINATION SCHEME


No of Practical Examination : Two

Duration of each Examination :Three hour duration including viva-voce

Max. marks in each Examination : 100=80 (Practical) + 20 (Viva)
Grading :           Students will be awarded grades in practical examinations based on
                         the marks scored by them in the practical and viva voce. Every
                         candidate has to pass in both Practical and Viva examinations.
Date(s) :           Date(s) will be announced on the DOEACC website.
                       The examinations will be conducted by the Society in reputed institutions for all
                       candidates.

Important Cut off Dates


 January Exams  : Preceding 31st July

July Exams :  Preceding 31st January 


FEES:

A Level: A fee of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) should be remitted to
DOEACC Society by a demand draft in favor of DOEACC payable at New Delhi.

Award of Certificates


Successful candidates in ‘A’ Level would be eligible for a certificate which is

recognized as equivalent to Advance Diploma in Course by the Government of India
for the purpose of employment vide Ministry of Human Resources Development,
Govt. of India’s notification no. F.18-23/92-TD.V/TS dated 1st March, 1995 and F.18-
23/92-TD.V/TS-IV dated 10th April, 1996.
